TF-CBT Cohorts 16-18
The Child Sexual Behavior Inventory (CSBI)* is a questionnaire used to assess caregiver reported sexual behaviors in children ages 3 to 12 years old. Domains assessed include developmentally related sexual behaviors (DRSB) and sexual abuse specific items (SASI).
Descriptive Statistics: Pre- and post-treatment assessment measure, means, standard deviations, and standard errors for each subscale of the CSBI are listed in the table below, as well as the range of possible scores and clinically significant range for each subscale.
CSBI Subscales: Descriptive Statistics
Repeated Measures Analyses: Paired samples t-tests were conducted to examine pre-post group mean differences on CSBI subscales and total difficulties scores. Analyses showed statistically significant scores in both subscales and Total Difficulties.
CSBI Subscales: Paired Sample t-tests
CSBI Subscales and Total Scores: Pre-post Treatment Mean Scores
Individual Clinically-Significant Change:
At pre-treatment, 48 clients had CSBI Total Difficulties scores at or above the clinical cut-off score of 65. Of note, 23 clients were missing the CSBI Total Difficulties score at post-treatment. Analysis of the clients with post-treatment data showed that the CSBI Total Difficulties for 10 of these 25 clients (40%) decreased to non-clinically significant levels by post-treatment. At pre-treatment, 43 clients had pre-treatment CSBI DRSB scores at or above the clinical cut-off score of 65. Of note, 19 clients were missing the CSBI Total Difficulties score at post-treatment. Analysis of the of the clients with post-treatment data showed that CSBI DRSB scores for 15 of these 24 clients (63%) decreased to non-clinically significant levels by post-treatment. Also, 49 clients had pre-treatment CSBI SASI scores at or above the clinical cut-off score of 65. Of note, 22 clients were missing the SASI at post-treatment. Analysis of the clients with post-treatment data showed that CSBI SASI scores for 14 of these 27 clients (52%) decreased to non-clinically significant levels by post-treatment.
