CE-CERT Cohort 2Triangle, Statewide

The CE-CERT model (Components for Enhancing Clinician Engagement and Reducing Trauma) was developed to give trauma clinicians strategies to address secondary traumatic stress (STS) and support their engagement. CE-CERT is different than the typical training approaches that describe the occupational hazards and rely on self-care to use outside of work.  Instead, CE-CERT provides in-the-moment strategies that mental health providers can use to deal with work stress at work. CE-CERT also focuses on enhancing the enjoyable work experiences that help clinicians stay engaged in their careers.

Training Requirements

CE-CERT Training is targeted to agency teams of  clinicians, supervisors, and senior leaders.

The Foundation Training for all staff consists of 2 training days (in-person or virtual).

Optional additional Supervisor Training consists of 1 virtual training day and 10 monthly consultation calls, and is targeted to clinical supervisors interested in incorporating CE-CERT principles into their clinical supervision and practice.
